PoM - Painting mess --

"So, how was your day?"

Kowalski was plopped down on the edge of the small pool that occupied the lemur habitat, he was sure he had asked the question once already but must have mumbled it in his first attempt as Julien hadn't responded.

With a sigh laced with slight aggravation the lemur responded, "My day was being well and fine until I was having da idea of asking da artsy elephant to paint something for me."

True, when Kowalski had arrived to pay his boyfriend a quick visit after the days mission he had wondered why his front was a wash with blue and red paint, the occasional purple seeping into the mix, but he had thought it best not to out right ask about it. He was smarter then that.

"Dat stupidy elephant ruined my beautiful fur, look at me!" Julien had turned to face Kowalski at this point, the water making the paint run over his body now. No doubt it would leave a stain that would last a few days but despite the lemur's anger over the situation Kowalski couldn't help but smile.

"I think you look perfect."

It seemed as though for a second that the compliment threw Julien off guard, a slight blush creeping onto his face as he turned back around to finish cleaning himself up. "Yo- you are just saying dat so dat I will not be of the yelling anymore."

"Of course not," Kowalski replied. "When it comes to you I think everything looks perfect, in fact I --"

Julien interrupted Kowalski's sentence with a looking back glance and a shy smile, the combination of which spoke volumes to the penguin.

Kowalski was fairly sure he would be returning to base a bit later tonight then expected and that ridicule and inquiry would follow the next morning over how he obtained that purple stain on his chest and stomach. But then again he would cross that bridge when he came to it.

Actually nearly everything I draw has a story to it that I replay in my head over and over while I work on it, keeps me focused.

This idea hit me after watching Brush with Danger and sort of exploded into a painting. I love painting stuff I really do, I just need to figure out how to get the results I want faster. :V

This was also an excuse to draw my trademarked curvy Julien. I mean look at that, yessssssh, you know you like it. >///>

This was finished in my livestream last night and now that this pic is done I am hoping to get the next pages of Folks-y Wisdom roughed and completed. :>
